For more than 50 years, VEAP has stood alongside individuals and families in our community during moments of economic uncertainty, offering dignity, stability, and hope. Founded in 1974 by a coalition of local faith communities, VEAP was created in response to the growing challenges faced by neighbors struggling to meet their most basic needs.

Today, VEAP is the largest food pantry in the Twin Cities and a trusted social services organization. Our mission is to create pathways to stronger, more hopeful communities through access to healthy food, housing stability, and supportive services. Our work is rooted in compassion and guided by a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of circumstance. Through an integrated model that addresses both immediate needs and long-term stability, VEAP helps families weather crises and build a more secure future.
